A lot has happened! Need to get you caught up!

So very much has happened since the last post here. To start with, we built a Chicken Coop, and now have three chicks(one of which has surprised us in being a rooster!) Oh, well...we will breed him until we have as many hens as we would like, then he'll be up for sale! He doesn't like me very much at all!

Then for BIGGER news! We are expecting!

Our little one will be here in October and we are so excited! We are having the gender reveal party next Friday and cant wait to share with everyone..we have been on pins and needles trying to keep it a secret!:)

A week over 5 months, I am at 21 weeks and feeling the baby kick so very much...moving around in there like crazy! I cant wait till it gets bigger so the hubs can feel it...the baby is stubborn like him I guess because when he tries to feel it, it stops! ha!

The photo above was taken at 12wks...around the time we told everyone. We chose to tell our family by placing small ultrasound images in Easter eggs and handed them out when visiting everyone over the Easter holiday!

The SIL's Closet Dresser.....

One of my sister-in-laws has wanted her dresser in her bedroom closet painted. She doesn't share a closet with her husband so I mentioned that we should do something fun and feminine just because she CAN!

Well, to make things even more fun...I am painting this piece for her and she has NO idea what color I am painting it!! Yay! Fun surprise! Then when all completed we are setting out to buy all new hardware knobs(AKA-furniture Jewelry!)

BEFORE PICTURES

So I have all the supplies and I am prepping and ready to get started and then my husband drops a big bombshell on my plans! He says that I CANT use my NEW paint sprayer that he purchased for me without creating a "Painting Booth"! Ahhh!  Non-the-less, now I have to set up a paint booth! With proper gear, respirator and the whole nine yards! Which means I will be looking like a space alien when painting furniture from now on! HA!

I googled DIY paint booths and this is an option above!

Oh and by the way...I asked for this sprayer as a Valentine's present(I know your thinking...what woman ask for this for Valentines Day? ME that's WHO!! ;) And I love him for getting it for me because he knows how much more I will enjoy it rather than flowers that will die in a week, and chocolate that will only make my waistline bigger! So yay for early V-Day presents!

Three Little Hens

Yes, I am the proud owner of three baby hens! Wait, hold up! These aren't your average chicks! They are Silkies..look them up they are super cute and I cant wait to see them all fluffed out like the ones you can google to see as adults(shown above from google).

 And bonus, the eggs should be here maybe by

 August...if you've never had a fresh egg (not from the grocery store) you don't know what your missing, there is a difference! Trust me!

I cant wait to show you the photos of them as they grow and the whole process of what is to be the Knowles Coop! I cant wait!

 (I may sound crazy over some chickens, but already they are eating from our hands and take regular naps in our laps and have become part of the family already!)

Mom mom thinks I have a special powers I think, because she grew up with chickens all her life and has never seen them react like they have to us in just a short time.
