This is the post I have been waiting to do because I am glad all the hard work and effort is over and we can reflect on how fun my husbands 30th Birthday was!
Yes, my husband and his twin brother turned 30! this January. Let me tell you! they don't act 30 in mind, body or spirit....I hope they always stay young at heart! ;)
Over the past few months myself and my sis-in-law have been busy planning and getting everything coordinated! It was a hard feat to attempt to keep it a SECRET but we succeeded! And boy they sure know they are loved..or at least they should by now!
We usually plan their birthdays low key with all their close friends, but this year we wanted to be able to take a break from the preparations of food and such and find a place fitting for their 30th Birthday!
We decided on a "THIRSTY" theme, this meant we needed a place! Some times and most times this is the hardest, but luckily I stumbled across a place I see at least 2 times a week.
The place was Gordon Biersch in Midtown. Fun place!
We then decided on a menu, set that up and basically after that we were set! This way everyone could order and the tab would be on us! Much easier than cooking for this big crowd!
Oh, cant forget the cake! (my husbands favorite part, he loves birthday cake) I am pretty specific and a little OCD when it comes to party planning, and very detail oriented in general so I guess its fitting that I wanted the cake to be perfect! And sure enough it was exactly how I had envisioned it!
Then next was transportation, we wanted to have everyone that wanted to ride in the LIMO come with us. It just so happens, the day before we were upgraded because of a cancellation...woohoo!
I had the idea to do a "Photo Booth" from Pinterest of course! I knew it would be hysterical to do it, and hoped everyone would partake in the fun! Weeks before I started preparing all the props, i.e. sunglasses, hats, signs, etc. This turned out to be a great idea and the photos are so funny, and I know everyone had a good time because it shows all in the photos!
Trust me, this is just a very small portion of all the people and photos I have of this booth! I ended up with over 300! and they keep me laughing even after Ive seen them more than once!
Everyone who came either has known Keith and Kraig all their lives, worked with them, childhood friends, family, or friends by way of other friends. It was so touching to see all the people that somehow have influenced them and have been a part of their lives and took the time to come and celebrate their birthday! I was very touched, and the guys were overwhelmed with how many came out to celebrate! It was a GREAT time! I know they enjoyed themselves and I hope everyone that made it had a blast as well.
(They also had sparklers that spelled out 3-0 on the cake but they put them out because they thought they were trick candles)! Bummer! lol
Here's to many, many more Birthdays! I love you babe!
